Recently, on a visit to Germany, the Ukraine PM Yatsenyuk (let's call him Yats a la Victoria Nuland) said the following on a German TV station, “All of us still clearly remember the Soviet invasion of Ukraine and Germany. We need to avoid [a repeat of] it.”
This (possibly) implies that Yats is saying the German invasion of the USSR was a preemptive strike against a country that was fully committed to invading Germany at that time. Is this a reasonable interpretation of history?
Or otherwise interpret Yats statement in your own words.
